Community Service and Charitable Contributions

The PCCi team is proud to invest its skills, time, and financial resources to benefit the local community.

PCCi doesn't just recommend community service, the entire company works to provide both money and time to better our communities. PCCi is an eight-year champion of Memory Ride for Alzheimer's Research, a cycling event that has raised more than $1.3 million over the past 13 years for Alzheimer's Research. In addition to providing more than $65,000 in financial sponsorship since Memory Ride's founding in 1996, PCCi provides financial and administrative services that have totaled over 6,000 staff hours to date.

Deb Pierson is a board member of and currently serves as secretary for the Greater Pennsylvania Alzheimer's Association. A member of the fund development and public policy committees, she is actively involved in educating the public on legislative and funding issues on a grass roots level and a state-wide platform while working with the Alzheimer's Association toward a world free of this devastating disease. PCCi is a proud sponsor of the association's Harrisburg Memory Walk, and Deb is serving as the 2008 honorary chairperson.

As a woman-owned enterprise, Deb is passionate about lending guidance and assisting women in business. PCCi is the founding corporate guild member of Dress for Success South Central PA, a non-profit organization that offers services to help women re-enter the workforce and maintain employment. Women are referred to the organization by partner non-profit programs and government agencies including homeless shelters, immigration services, and domestic violence shelters that offer job training and job-ready programs.

PCCi also sponsors Business Women's Forum. This event is billed as the largest, one-day business women's professional development showcase in Pennsylvania and includes renowned speakers, business exhibits, and breakout sessions. BWF is jointly hosted by the Greater Carlisle Area, Harrisburg Regional, and the West Shore chambers of commerce. The 2009 date is April 2, at the Pennsylvania Farmshow Complex & Expo Center. Join us for the 15th annual event!

Because they understand the importance of family unity, sportsmanship, and the value of providing a bright and promising future for our community's children, PCCi's employees support the Silver Spring Youth Baseball Association. The company recently provided funds for the purchase of a field groomer and field grooming enclosed trailer as well as a field sponsorship at the new Stoney Ridge Baseball Park on Bernheisel Bridge Road in Silver Spring Township.

In addition, PCCi supports the Scotland School for Veterans' Children (SSVC) golf tournament. SSVC is a state-funded institution offering quality residential education to the children of Commonwealth veterans. Founded in 1895, it has been administered by the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs since 1996. Students in grades 3 through 12 live on its 186-acre Franklin County campus, removed from hectic city life and nurtured in a safe, caring residential community.
