Server and Network Cabinet Rollout

As part of the L&I OIT Server and Network Cabinet rollout in January through May of 2001, Pierson Computing Connection Inc. provided the following services:

  • Received, configured, and delivered 54 network cabinets across the Commonwealth; Configuration included installing multiple APC UPS connecting devices, keyboard trays, monitor shelves, and cable management;
  • Tracked inventory and warehousing of 135 servers;
  • Installed hardware set up BIOS  for 74 servers;
  • Installed custom software on 74 servers including network setup, SMS, and coordinating ADSM backups;
  • Installed 135 servers at 54 locations across the state including keyboards, mice, displays, and server switches as well as up to three servers per location; and
  • Performed troubleshooting to ensure successful installations.
