Modernization System (UCMS) project staffing
PCCi provides administrative support to IBM and the Department of Labor and Industry for the UCMS application development project and systems. PCCi provides earned value analyst and project planning support. The PCCi team:
- Manages and maintains the protean project plan for a multiple release, multiple phase IBM Unemployment Compensation Modernization System Web development project;
- Develops, reviews, plans, consolidates, and evaluates project plans for all releases and phases;
- Provides documentation, project tracking, and management reporting; and
- Offers tactical and strategic input on scope of project planning.
PCCi also delivers project administration support to
- Coordinate all phases of project documentation;
- Assimilate project team members for seamless on-boarding and off-boarding;
- Gather documents for invoicing;
- Track and maintain records of all timesheets and expense information for contractors; Create badges for staff identification; and
- Escort visitors.
PCCi also delivered operational support for the project’s IBM hardware systems, including a Technical Project Manager, Project Leader, and three support staff. The PCCi cadre:
- Built and configured 45 vmWare virtual servers, 42 Blade Servers, and seven System X 3650 servers spread across five different environments;
- Created server configuration and software installation documentation concerning all servers built for the project;
- Worked with the customer to optimize management software;
- Supported and maintained these servers as well as working with developers to support and optimize their individual applications pertaining to the project; and
- Maintained developers’ PCs, also installed and supported IBM Rational software.
