Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Office of Income Maintenance, PC Rollout Project
In the four-month window from December 2000 to March 2001, PCCi provided
project management services to the Pennsylvania DPW as part of the
IBM PC Rollout project with a high level of customer satisfaction.
The project management scope spanned over 120 site installations and 10,000 PCs
in an extremely tight schedule including management of the following activities:
- Testing and certifying images;
- Manufacturing workstations;
- Delivering equipment just-in-time to locations;
- Transferring data;
- Cleansing hard disk drives
- De-installing and re-boxing PCs;
- Installing new PCs;
- Transferring user data to new PCs;
- Configuring and customizing user settings;
- Removing and recycling existing PCs in a just-in-time manner; and
